Sindhis: Raghani Pushpa (Dept of Physics)

Dr. Pushpa Raghani is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Physics. Dr.
Raghani earned her Ph.D. at the Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research
and completed post-doctoral work at the Center for Probing the Nanoscale at Stanford
University. She has extensive research interests including studying magnetic structures
with a single atom or multi-atom, calculating magnetic anisotropy for transition metal
and rare earth atoms, and researching mechanism for ferromagnetic coupling in bulk or in
molecules. Dr. Raghani has published in The Journal of Chemical Physics, Physical Review
B, and Solid State Communications. She is also the recipient of the Kawazoe-Aida prize
for the best poster presentation in ACCMS-I, Bangalore, India.
