Vijay Lalwani was with McCann Erickson as Creative Director – Mumbai branch, where he joined from Everest Brand Solutions.
Prior to Everest, Lalwani worked at O&M, PSL Erickson in Pune and Laughter & Design, a creative boutique.
As Creative Director, Lalwani has worked on a diverse set of brands which include Hutch, Sprite, Fanta, Pond’s, Seagrams, Coke, MTV, the Times Of India, Godrej, Tortoise and Bajaj Auto, among many others.
Lalwani has also received a host of awards, both international and nationally. These include a Cannes in 2004, Asian Media Advertising Awards, Silver and Gold at the Abby’s, and Silver and Bronzes at the AAAI’s Goafest. He was also ranked by Campaign Brief Asia in the hottest creative list in 2004-05.
He attempted writing scripts for other film makers before getting into direction, inspired by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani from Excel Entertainment.
For his first venture Karthik Calling Karthik, he dons multiple hats of Story Writer / Screenplay / Director and Producer.
He owns the production house Magic Beans along with Amit Chandra.
