Nagrani Hanish – Sindhi Golfer

61 young golfers teed-up in the Annual Optimist District Junior Qualifying Golf Tournament held recently at Caledon Country Club, hosted by the Optimist Club of Brampton. 

And when the dust settled eight had earned trips to Florida.

The winner in the 14-15 age group was Hanish Nagrani,15, of Welland, with a score of 77.

Nagarani qualified to advance to Florida.

Nagrani qualified to advance to the Optimist International Junior Golf Championships held at the PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, July 21 to July 31.

They have also qualified to play in the Optimist Canadian National Junior Golf Championships to be held in Ingersoll from August 8 to 10.

The 11-year-old Nagrani was named the male athlete of the year and the winner of the Earl Leonard Memorial Trophy as he continued his exploits on the fairways last year with several first-place finishes, including wins at the Central District Optimist championships and the National Optimist championships.
